BNT’S Wine & Art Festival Returns for 30th Anniversary After Two-Year Hiatus

BNT’s Wine and Art Festival is one of the longest running festivals in the country

October 12th, 2022 – Nassau, Bahamas

The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) is excited to announce its 30th Wine & Art Festival on October 29 and 30 at the beautiful Retreat Garden National Park. Wine and Art is the premier art and culture festival in The Bahamas, combining a culinary, artistic, and cultural experience with the opportunity to support the environment. After a two-year hiatus, it’s back and better than ever.

This year’s event will bring the same iconic food and beverage experience that attendees have grown to love while introducing a few new experiences. Returning sponsors Commonwealth Brewery and 700 Wines and Spirits have partnered with the BNT to showcase an incredible array of wines and spirits. Attendees at Wine and Art 2022 will be able to sip over 60+ wines from different parts of the world, enjoy luxury champagne brands in The VIP Champagne Lounge, and enjoy food and culinary delights from local food vendors as well as Ministry of Tourism-sponsored celebrity chefs. All while viewing and purchasing incredible arts and crafts from over 35 local artists and vendors, enjoying live music and entertainment, and taking in the beautiful atmosphere that is The Retreat Garden. To top it all off, attendees can have a hands-on educational experience with several free classes that will be offered during the two-day event.

For nearly 30 years, people in The Bahamas have looked forward to the Wine and Art Festival at The Retreat. Whether you’re an artist, wine enthusiast or just someone who loves a good time, Wine and Art is an unforgettable experience.

Wine and Art functions as one of the BNT’s annual fundraisers and the kickoff to the organisation’s much-anticipated fall events. All proceeds from the event support the management of Bahamian national parks and conservation in The Bahamas. Over the years, thousands of visitors have come to look forward to this one-of-a-kind festival and have made attendance a tradition. This year’s festival will feature an exclusive Champagne Lounge and a Heineken Beer Garden After Party. The brand-new champagne lounge will be offering high-class champagne brands like Moet and Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, and Armand de Brignac Ace of Spade; along with exclusive entertainment. And for the first time ever, tickets can be purchased online.

Kimberly Knowles, BNT Development Officer and Event Coordinator said the response to the return of the festival so far has been “nothing but excitement” from both the public and staff.

“It feels amazing to be back in action after this two-year hiatus. In the past Wine and Art was something so many people looked forward to, and people have been asking when’s it coming back. We’re thrilled to let them know, it’s coming back now. This is also the first Wine and Art for a lot of our new team members who were onboarded during the pandemic, and you can feel the energy and excitement among everyone. We know people are going to love it and we can’t wait.”
